Wine Spectator 88 points - Brilliant ruby. Lively cherry and redcurrant scents are complicated by suggestions of fresh tobacco, cedar and dried flowers. Juicy and precise on the palate, offering bitter cherry and licorice flavors and an insinuating herbal nuance. Shows good clarity and lift on the gently tannic finish, with the floral and cherry notes echoing.
Cherry, cassis, leather and mineral aromas make for a lively bouquet. This is round and full on the palate, with welcome division among its layers. Ripe blackberry, fig and chocolate flavors finish lightly baked and heady, showing depth. Drink through 2018.
This is a juicy and dense wine yet it remains agile and pretty with chocolate, berry and spice character. Hints of mint too. Medium to full body, delicious fruit and a long and intense finish. 75% cabernet sauvignon, 10% carmenere, 10% syrah, and 5% malbec. The cabernet shows beauty.
Currant, red berry and green herbal flavors dominate this edgy, full-bodied red. Shows plenty of acidity on the flinty finish, balanced by some smoky notes. Drink now through 2019. 100,000 cases made.

|The acquisition of Los Vascos by Les Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in 1988 was the result of a careful search among more than 100 Chilean wines for one that could meet the Rothschild criteria for excellence. The property has been completely renovated, both in viticulture and viniculture. With over 2,200 contiguous hectares, 530 are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon (95%) and Chardonnay (5%). Los Vascos is the largest vineyard in the Caneten Valley of Colchagua and can easily maintain its, “Estate Grown, Hand Picked, Hand Sorted, Estate Bottled” status.
