An elegant style, with suppleness and a vibrant structure as the backdrop for cherry, berry and earth notes. There's a nice sweet core. Best from now through 2018. 600 cases made.

| Wine Enthusiast October 2009 Pommard Le Taillefer 2006 - Wine Enthusiast
------------------------------------------
...this is a warm wine, bursting with red berries and a fresh acidity. A good, dry core of tannins promises some aging. On the finish, a layer of well-judged wood joins the solid fruit.

Wine maker notes
Our wines come from approximately twenty lots belonging to 11 estates. They each produce from 5 to 15 barrels. Due to the perfect exposure of their vineyard, the grapes reach full maturity and are harvested at the end of September. After fermentation the wine is aged 15 months -- 20% in new oak barrels and 80% in 3-year-old oak barrels.
Food pairing
A sensational match with grilled red meats, flavorful lamb dishes, and roast chicken or turkey. Pommard is a natural partner for cheeses with well-developed flavors: Époisses, Langres and Soumaintrain, and Comté.
