Wine & Spirits 91 points - (Tried & True Award) Cedar and sage come to mind as well as sun baked olives, ripe damson plum, and cassis. On the palate it is mouth-coating and ripe with ample blackberry and toasty spice. The tannins are a bit green, but balanced and fruit lingers on the finish.
Sleek, focused and appealing, with smoke, black cherry and currant flavors gliding into a finish that picks up hints of coffee and spice. Drink now through 2020. 5,445 cases made.-HS
Coming from vines planted in 1991 and located in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, close to the Columbia River, it delivers notions of red and black fruits, spice box, flowers and background herbs along with a medium-bodied, richly textured mouthfeel that carries solid depth and ripe tannin. More forward and approachable than the Cold Creek Vineyard, it should drink nicely over the coming 4-5 years. Drink now-2018.
