James Suckling 93 points - Aromas of green tobacco, graphite, dried plum, and dark cherry liqueur flow from this dark garnet colored Cabernet. While the fruit is dark and lovely, the powerful, dry tannins make this a natural pair to grilled meats.
An affordable appellation wine, there’s an introductory whiff of meaty bacon that signals full-bodied goodness, followed by soft, integrated layers of cherry and vanilla. Thick and densely concentrated, it’s drinking well now and should please many palates.
This is extremely fine and focused with ultra-fine tannins and a beautiful black currant and spearmint undertone. Full and fruity. Yet reserved and interesting. A triumph for the price. Drink or hold.
