Ultimate Beverage Challenge 94 points - This lively wine has invigorating flavors of crushed raspberry and fruit tree smoke. The tannins are very light and refined making for a wine with bright, fruity acidity and an extremely refreshing and radiant mouthfeel. (Jun 2016)
Wine Enthusiast 88 points - A feral, somewhat sauvage aroma of pungent earth opens this wine, followed by notes of bay leaf and mint. Spicy and vibrant in red fruit, it is buoyed and balanced by acidity that keeps this full-bodied wine from ever seeming weighed down. This wine also offers good value.
The 2013 Estate Russian River Valley Pinot Noir has lovely aromas of cherry and rose petals. With a soft and silky texture on the palate, cherries, pomegranate, floral and baking spice characteristics shine through with balance, acidity and a nice lingering finish. This medium bodied wine was aged for 13 months in small French oak barrels, which added a hint of toasty vanilla and spice complexity. Cellar it for enjoyment for the next two to four years.
