De canter 95 Pts points - Bright and lively, light and tangy, with raspberry and cranberry notes most prominent on the sleek, cleanly defined frame. Has presence and lingers well. Drink now through 2020.-H.S.
The nose is floral, pure and perfumed with violets and raspberries vying for attention. In the mouth, it is delicate and fine but has an extraordinary intensity of flavors encompassing, incense, wild strawberries, toffee and cream. Completing the picture are ultra-fine tannins and delicious acidity and length. A class act.
|Wine maker notes
|Consistent from vintage to vintage as the “little sister” of the Evenstad Reserve Pinot Noir, the Yamhill Cuvee Pinot Noir is a blend from each of our vineyard sites that results in a vibrant, food friendly Pinot Noir. This wine has an aroma profile that consists of red fruit, minerality, sweet and complex spice, earth and a hint of French oak. The palate offers youthful tannins and balanced acidity which lead to a smooth and graceful finish. The Yamhill Cuvee is approachable in its youth while maintaining the elegance and finesse of a Domaine Serene Pinot Noir.
|Passion and Commitment led Ken and Grace Evenstad to Oregon, more than two decades ago. Propelled by a desire to produce the world’s best Pinot Noir, they founded Domaine Serene in Dundee Hills, located in the Northern Willamette Valley, where Oregon Pinot Noir began - and where its heart remains today.
