Every year, we carefully select only the best Verdicchio grapes from our vineyards, in order to achieve the highest attainable quality. It is the label that best expresses the excellent quality/price ratio of Belisario wines. Featuring a productive and organoleptic philosophy of quaffable, simple wine, enticing yet complete, suitable for the undemanding consumer, but intriguing for the expert taster.
Characterized by a rich bouquet of acacia and broom, it is rich, zesty, fairly hot, fresh in acidity and well-structured on the palate. It can be combined according to the classic canons of Verdicchio: fish, hot and cold appetizers, delicate white meats, cheeses and main courses. Best served cool at 12°C. Also available by the 0,375L bottle.
”Cantine Belisario” was started in 1971. Today, it is a company with 300 hectares planted with grape vines, and a wine cellar with a capacity of 30,000 hectolitres. It is the largest producer of Verdicchio di Matelica D.O.C. All of the vineyards, located in the Alta Valle Esina, are within 10 minutes from the cellar. The company produces two brands: “BELISARIO” destined to restaurants and wine shops, and “POGGIO alle RONDINI” for large distribution.
