A medium-bodied dense ruby/purple red wine that makes attractive drinking as a young wine. In the glass the wine is a bright dark cherry red with spicy aromas of ripe red berries, violets and a slight gamey character. A young easy to drink style of wine it has soft berry flavours and soft subtle oak characters. It has a delightfully finish.
Intense ruby red with violet reflections, it shows black cherry, wild blackberry and plum fruit flavours with a spicy, toasted overtone. Soft and elegant, it is surprisingly long in the mouth with notes of mature red fruits and displays the structure necessary for long ageing. Ideal with soups, even those which are meat based, cold cuts, white and red meat, roasted or boiled and mature cheeses.
|Wine maker notes
|The maceration of the grapes, at 24-25°C, does not exceed 7 days in order to obtain an excellent extraction of colour without creating a heavy tannic structure. The wine also maintaining good aromatic freshness as it sees because of ageing shared in wood and stainless steel tanks.
|It accompanies traditional Mediterranean dishes including sliced meats, soups and pasta dishes, lasagna, white meats and light main courses. Serve at 18°C.

Montefusco, once the capital of the Principality of Ultra, which now part of Irpinia. It is a perfect central hub, as all our vineyards are found in the surrounding area.
The state of the art wine cellar is enclosed by the natural landscape of Serra di Montefusco and lies at a height of 650 meters over sea level. It overlooks the D.O.C. and D.O.C.G. wine regions of Irpinia: in Sabato Valley - Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo, and in Calore Valley - Taurasi.
