Wine Spectator 91 points - Good medium red. Expressive musky aromas of raspberry, mocha, pepper and spices, plus a sexy whiff of woodsmoke. Suave, savory and smooth on the palate, with red fruit and spice flavors dominating. Nicely restrained sweetness here. Not quite as concentrated or fleshy as the De Sangre blend but equally stylish and fine-grained, finishing with even suppler tannins.
A suave and refined style, with lilting spice and sandalwood notes to the flavors of dried raspberry, red currant and rose hip. Savory midpalate, with a dried beef note on the well-structured finish. Drink now through 2019. 10,200 cases imported.
Decadently spiced, with intense dark chocolate and roasted plum flavors that feature notes of paprika. Black pepper accents show on the lush, mineral-filled finish. Needs time to open up. Best from 2017 through 2021.
