Bouquet:Unusually fragrant, soft in style, wafts of mature citrus and honeycomb accompanied with characteristic red fruits.
Palate:Very soft silky/creamy mouth-feel. Red berry fruits swirl and dominate with time over the nebulous nuttiness.
Finish:Mid to long citrus and honeyed vanilla and the faint reminder of 1st fill sherry casks.
Malt Advocate 87 points - A new NAS, this has a thick, silky nose in classic ‘Rothes style which reminds you of coffee cream icing, hazelnut syrup, semi-dried soft fruits, and horchata. The palate has elegance and poise, with a hint of menthol lifting off into pecan and light grippy oak. Has excellent length and mellow flow. Water slightly reduces its voluptuous charms, so be careful (or simply avoid). Praise for revealing all the vintages used, and the fantastic price. Chapeau!

That citrus certainly comes through but soon richer, honeyed fruit cake with fresh red cherry emerges. On the palate red berries and nutty, light fruit cake, apple skin and creamy caramels. Finishing with Sweet nuts, honey and lemon and a hint of cranberry.
