A bright, light ruby color, a touch of violets in the nose, a fresh, crisp, dry taste and a clean finish.
The wine is generous and expressive, showcasing the vintage's warmer weather, with the primary fruit spectrum suggesting black cherries and cranberries, with hallmark spice box notes, hints of exotic Asian perfumes and that elusive forest floor/earthy set of characters that seem an "MSR" signature. Fine-grained tannins complement the already fleshy mid-palate which expands in aroma and texture with aeration and will continue to develop further with bottle age.
