This special release celebrates Indian culture and heritage in anticipation of Indian Independence Day on August 15th. The collaboration beer, a 4.5% ABV Basmati Rice Lager, draws its name from the Bollywood film "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge": "Small things like this happen in big countries."
Shane Monteiro of Queue Beer conceived this idea to highlight and celebrate his family’s Indian heritage through craft beer. The collaboration features label art by renowned artist Chiraag Bhakta, a multidisciplinary creator known for his work in printmaking, collage, photography, and assemblage.
Crafted with Saaz and Motueka hops, this crisp and clean lager offers a light, refreshing taste with subtle bitterness, making it an ideal pairing for a variety of Indian dishes.
