Full-bodied on the palate – easy to drink, tender and silky mouthfeel; tannins so ripe that their presence is hardly felt; the gradual increase of peppers – white pepper at first; a hint of root ginger and black radish; coriander seeds; cooked peppery verbena; Coeur de Boeuf tomato jam. Energetic finish; spicy, sharper and with more tension than might be expected; wonderful length marked by spices and marinated herbs, mint, peppery verbena and coriander.
